About the project

2015

Anna Rech has an inspiring history of what a single person can reach, giving proof a strong endurance. She left Italy as she became widow, with many children some of them disabled. She managed not only to let her family come out from poverty, but also she became a point of reference for a comunity. That’s why there’s now a city in Rio Grande Do Sul that has her name, Ana Rech.

The cover represent Anna with one of her children on a ship looking in the distance and descovering the land, green, rich of plants and hope. Between the little figures in a corner and the land in the other there are big, strong lines of waves, symbolizing the many obstacles she had to pass in her travel and in her life to realize her dream of a better future.

The book was written in italian from Salvatore Liotta and it was also traslated in portuguese.
