The building of the University of Arts in Berlin is a protected monument that was built in 1902. To fulfil the fire protection requirements it has to be renovated and the doors need building or renovating. A new escape way will be built with a new staircase on the east facade. I designed the first drafts of the stairs, surveyed the more than 100 doors and spoke with the monument preservation agency.
